Agricultural Products Producer Price Index (Agricultural PPI) decreased by 1.13% in October compared to the previous month, and increased by 62.56% compared to the same month last year.
Turkish Statistical Institute announced the Agriculture PPI data for October.
Accordingly, while the index in question decreased by 1.13% in October compared to the previous month, it increased by 44.93% compared to December last year, 62.56% compared to the same month last year and 85.35% compared to 12-month averages.
When we look at the changes in sectors compared to the previous month, there was a 1.31% decrease in agricultural and hunting products and related services, a 1.56% increase in forestry products and related services, and a 3.64% increase in fish and other fishing products.
In the main groups, there was a 4.32% decrease in annual plant products and a 1.62% decrease in perennial plant products compared to the previous month, while there was a 3.11% increase in live animals and animal products.
Compared to the annual Agriculture PPI, 4 subgroups showed lower changes and 10 subgroups showed higher changes. The subgroups with the lowest annual increase were fiber plants with 13.71%, cereals (except rice), legumes and oilseeds with 21.2%.
The subgroups with the highest annual increase are oily fruits with 168.05% and grapes with 164.52%. It was calculated that the only subgroup that showed a decrease compared to the same month last year was citrus fruits with 19.08%.
Compared to the monthly Agriculture PPI, 4 subgroups showed lower changes and 10 subgroups showed higher changes. The subgroups with the highest decrease compared to the previous month were vegetables and melons, roots and tubers with 8.04%, and pome fruits and stone fruits with 6.66%. It was observed that the subgroups with the highest monthly increase were other tree and bush fruits and nuts with 65.28%, and oily fruits with 35.65%.
Of the 92 items included in the index, there was a decrease in the average price of 35 items and an increase in the average price of 44 items.
