Astopia, Local Astrology App, Receives $300 Thousand Pre-Seed Investment

Astopia, which set out with the aim of becoming a global astrology application, announced that it reached 250,000 users and received an investment of $300 thousand.

Astopia, which provides personal astrological guidance and was founded by Atil Samancioglu, Ceyla Yurtseven and Utku Gulseven in August 2023 and reached 250 thousand users, received an interim investment of $300 thousand in the pre-seed round held before the main investment round.

Among the names participating in the investment tour are Kivanc Unal, Merve Gurel, Atakan Ozel, Mehmet Said Atabay and Cagri Emre Korkmaz.

Astopia provides personalized astrological guidance based on a person’s date, place and time of birth and unique birth information. Astopia, which provides services to its users in many areas, including daily, weekly and monthly horoscope comments for users, relationship compatibility with loved ones, effects of planetary transits in the sky, meditation and ritual suggestions based on the movements of the Moon and an astrological calendar, is also a mobile application that offers consultancy from real astrologers who are experts in their fields.

Ceyla Yurtseven, one of the founders of Astopia, which was launched in August 2023, said;

“The number of people who find meaning in astrology and seek guidance during uncertain times is increasing day by day. At the core of Astopia is the belief that it serves as a guide and support for individuals as they turn to astrology in search of hope and stability in their lives. According to a study conducted in the USA, 43% of young people between the ages of 18 and 34 make decisions about their lives by looking at horoscopes or tarot readings, and 1 in 3 people think that astrology is a way to make sense of what is happening in their lives. With the small-scale marketing efforts we made in a short time, we saw that there was a great potential in the American continent. With an interim investment round, we aimed to compete with rival applications in global markets and accelerate product development. While all the core content of Astopia, which will be released in Portuguese and Spanish versions in April, is meticulously prepared by expert astrologers, the startup also uses AI (Artificial Intelligence) technology to improve marketing efforts, including localization in different languages and production of audio and visual content. This strategic use of AI not only supports content areas but also optimizes marketing to meet users’ changing expectations.

Positioning this investment as an interim investment to demonstrate user acquisition and retention figures in global growth, Astopia is preparing for the main investment round with the target of supporting more than 10 languages as of August.
