BRSA extended the deposit deadlines

After the earthquakes in Kahramanmaras, new decisions continue to be taken to protect the citizens. Finally, the BRSA (Banks Regulation and Supervision Agency) granted additional time to the beneficiaries regarding the statute of limitations.

According to the board decision published in the Official Gazette, a new regulation has been made for the right holders or heirs of deposits, participation funds, trusts and receivables that have expired as of 2022.

Within the scope of the Deposit and Participation Fund Regulation, the statute of limitations, the application period for deposits, participation funds, escrow and receivables, which expired on June 15, has been extended until September 15.

The amounts for the year 2022, which are not sought by the beneficiaries and heirs, together with the interest and dividends, can be transferred to the accounts at the Central Bank of the Savings Deposit Insurance Fund or at banks to be determined by the Fund Board, until September 30.
