‘We care that this loan is related to sustainability. Because since our establishment, we have been operating with the ‘wasteless company’ model, keeping our sustainability efforts at the center of our business. While we are growing without an increase in carbon emissions, we produce projects in line with our goals, especially in water and energy efficiency, reducing waste, protecting food, human resources, sustainable raw material supply and production quality.’

EBRD Agricultural Industry Sector Team Director Natalya Zhukova emphasized the EBRD’s focus on sustainability and said, “Sustainability should be at the center of all sectors. At the EBRD, we stand ready to support all companies pursuing greener goals. Ulker is one of the important companies in the food industry and we believe that this loan will be effective in further strengthening the sustainability references of the company. We aim for this cooperation to set an example for all industry players and to have a transformative effect across the industry.”
