Eggs imported from Turkiye reached Russia

It was reported that the first part of the eggs imported from Turkiye reached Russia.

In the statement made by the Russian Food Safety Authority (Rosselkhoznadzor), it was stated that eggs imported from Turkiye entered Russia from the “Yarag-Kazmalyar” point in the south of the country.

In the statement, it was stated that the distribution of 316 thousand 800 eggs, weighing a total of 19.3 tons, will begin within Russia.

Referring to the increase in egg prices in the country on December 14, Russian President Vladimir Putin said, “Additional imports from Turkiye are proposed. Our economic ties (with Turkiye), including in the field of agriculture, are developing well.”

Russian Minister of Agriculture Dmitriy Patrushev also stated that they would import duty-free eggs from Turkiye in a short time.
