Financial Services Confidence Index increased by 8.3 points in Turkiye

The Financial Services Confidence Index increased by 8.3 points compared to the previous month in November and reached 160.8.

Financial Services Statistics and Financial Services Confidence Index for November were announced by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkiye (CBRT).

According to the survey results obtained by weighting and aggregating the responses of 143 institutions operating in the financial sector, the index increased by 8.3 points compared to the previous month in November, reaching 160.8.

When the diffusion indices of the survey questions that make up the index are examined, all sub-indices, including the business situation in the last 3 months, the demand for services in the last 3 months and the demand expectation for services in the next 3 months, affected FHGE in an upward direction.

According to the evaluations regarding the business situation and demand for services, evaluations that there has been an improvement in the business situation in the last 3 months, evaluations that there has been an increase in demand for services in the last 3 months, and expectations that there will be an increase in demand for services in the next three months have strengthened.

According to employment-related evaluations, the trend in favor of those who reported a decrease in employment in the last 3 months has strengthened, while the trend in favor of those who expect an increase in employment in the next 3 months has weakened.

In November, when confidence indices in the “Finance and Insurance Activities (except insurance and pension funds)” sector were evaluated by sub-sectors according to the NACE Rev.2 sector classification, there was an increase of 9.0 and 0.1 points in the “64-Financial Service Activities (excluding mandatory social security services)” and “65-Insurance, Reinsurance and Pension Funds” sectors, respectively, compared to the previous month, in the “66-Auxiliary Activities for Financial Services and Insurance Activities” sector, there was a decrease of 12.9 points compared to the previous month.
