
Trade Minister Omer Bolat said that in the January-July period this year, the export of fishery products exceeded $1 billion.
Minister Bolat shared information on the export of fishery products in a visual post he made on his social media account.
Stating that last year, $1.7 billion of aquaculture exports exceeded the $1 billion threshold in the first 7 months of this year, Bolat said, “Hopefully, we will set a new record as we complete 2023.”
Emphasizing that exports were made to 119 countries last year, and 42% of this was made to EU countries, Bolat said:
“I congratulate our breeders and exporters in our aquaculture sector, which aims to increase its export volume every year, besides providing market diversity.”
