Furniture industry focused on 2028 export target

Furniture Associations Federation (MOSFED) President Ahmet Gulec stated that the 2028 export targets of the furniture industry are $12 billion, and that the industry has the power to realize this goal in terms of knowledge, equipment and motivation.

According to the statement made by MOSFED, while the Ministry of Commerce continues its policy framework in the axis of production, investment, employment and export, Turkish Exporters Assembly held the 2028 Export Promotion and Marketing Vision Meeting.

At the meeting, where the route of Turkiye’s exports of goods and services was drawn, the targets of $400 billion for goods exports and $200 billion for service exports were emphasized.

MOSFED President Ahmet Gulec, whose views were given in the statement, stated that the 2028 export targets of the furniture industry are $12 billion and that the industry has the power to realize this goal in terms of knowledge, equipment and motivation. “When we include all of the furniture, paper and forest products in this goal, we can say that a journey of $20 billion awaits us.”

The sector, which realized an export of $4.7 billion with an increase of 11.23% last year and reached an export of $2 billion 272 million in the first 6 months of this year, continues its activities without slowing down and continues to increase its investments in production and employment.
