Here’s the latest update on June 28 gold prices… Gold prices remained steady after the U.S. Federal Reserve’s release of core personal consumption expenditures data, which it considers as an inflation indicator.

Ons gold started around $2,325 with a 0.1% decrease after the data.

Both gram and quarter prices were affected by both ons gold and USD/TRY.

Gram gold hovered around ₺2,451. Quarter gold changed hands at ₺4,009.

FED’S INFLATION INDICATOR ANNOUNCED

The Fed’s inflation indicator did not surprise.

The core personal consumption expenditures (PCE) index rose 0.1% in May, in line with expectations.

Core PCE also followed estimates on an annual basis, rising 2.6%.

Meanwhile, U.S. President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump held the first of two planned debates yesterday regarding the presidential elections.

The debates are crucial for the duo, who will face a tough battle again in the presidential elections scheduled for November 5.
