Banking Regulation and Supervision Board (BRSA) introduced loan limit exemption for risky houses within the scope of urban transformation.
In the statement made by BRSA, the following statements were made regarding the “Board Decision on the Implementation of Board Decisions No. 10655 and 10656 on Housing Loans dated 24 August 2023”, which is available on the Board’s website:
“In the evaluation of the housing ownership situation to be made in the application of the ratio of the maximum loan amount determined within the scope of the Board decision dated 24 August 2023 and numbered 10656 to the value of the house taken as collateral and the high risk weight determined within the scope of the Board decision dated 24 August 2023 and numbered 10655, It has been decided that the house in question will not be taken into account in the evaluation of the housing ownership status if the consumer has a single residence owned by himself, his spouse or his children under the age of 18, and this residence is demolished or a demolition decision is taken due to the detection of a risky structure within the scope of Law No. 6306 on the Transformation of Areas Under Disaster Risk.”
