While the industrial production index decreased by 0.8% on a monthly basis in August, it increased by 3.1% on an annual basis.
Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) announced the industrial production index results for August.
Accordingly, when the sub-sectors of the industry are examined, the mining and quarrying sector index increased by 5.1% in August compared to the same month of the previous year. The manufacturing industry sector index increased by 1.8% and the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning production and distribution sector index increased by 4.9%.
Industrial production decreased by 0.8% monthly
When the sub-sectors of the industry are examined, in August the mining and quarrying sector index increased by 0.2% compared to the previous month, the manufacturing industry sector index decreased by 1.3% and the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning production and distribution sector index increased by 2.4%.
