Istanbul Airport became the busiest airport in Europe with an average of 1297 flights per day between 13-19 November.
The European Aviation Report of the European Organization for the Safety of Air Navigation (Eurocontrol) for 13-19 November has been published.
According to the report, which also includes changes in the number of flights before 2019, when the Covid-19 epidemic started, Istanbul Airport was the only airport in Europe that managed to increase the number of daily flights by 12% during this period.
According to the report, Istanbul Airport ranked first among the busiest airports in Europe with an average of 1297 flights per day between 13-19 November.
Istanbul Airport was followed by London Heathrow with an average of 1254 flights per day, and Amsterdam Schiphol airports with 1227 flights.
