Nihat Ozdemir, Honorary President of Limak Group of Companies, stated that they plan to offer some important companies of the Limak group to the public at the end of the first quarter of 2024. “Very important work is being carried out in both CMB and Borsa Istanbul. Our team has started working now. We are planning to offer Limak renewable energy to the public in the near future.”

Answering the questions of the AA correspondent, Ozdemir said that, as Limak, they are moving forward with a strategy based on growth, that construction is one of their main sectors, they also work in energy, cement, tourism and food groups and that they constantly continue to invest.

Ozdemir stated that they continue to grow in the cement sector and said, “We have always made progress in the energy group. We have done business in nearly 18 countries in construction and continue to do so. Our group has done business in many places, starting from Spain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Africa, and continues to do so. They are doing very important work in Saudi Arabia. We are also trying to get a share from here. We have taken on a few projects and will continue. As a Turkish company, we will continue to do business in Europe, Africa and Asia.”

Noting that they plan to offer some important companies of the Limak group to the public at the end of the first quarter of 2024, Ozdemir said, “We are currently continuing those studies. Significant work is being carried out at both CMB and Borsa Istanbul. Our team has started working now. We are planning to offer Limak renewable energy to the public soon.”

Stating that they are working to operate in different sectors in the future, Ozdemir said, “Our work continues in the IT sector. We plan to further develop our work in this field. Hopefully, we will focus on the target with our friends and try to grow there as well. But I would like to express that we will continue to grow in our own sectors.”

Nihat Ozdemir, drawing attention to the geography where Limak Group of Companies factories are located and the potential they have, said, “In cement, Limak has spread to important regions of Turkiye. We have factories in Thrace and Balikesir. Balikesir is a developing place. After the highway came and the Canakkale Bridge was built, we see significant growth in Balikesir. What I call growth means increasing investments there. Balikesir is a very important province. It has coasts in Marmara and the Aegean coast. We will get our share from here too.”

“We plan to transfer the contributions we will achieve in many sectors to other sectors.”

Stating that they operate in many branches of the energy sector, Ozdemir said, “We have a Hamitabat power plant in natural gas. It provides a significant amount of energy to Istanbul. We are present in coal, and Limak also has Turkiye’s best companies in hydroelectricity. We are also present in solar energy and geothermal. We plan to transfer the contributions we will achieve in many sectors to other sectors.”

Ozdemir emphasized that Limak Dogu Anadolu Cement has no financial debts and concluded his words as follows:

“With the income from the public offering, we will add Ergani Cement to Limak Dogu Anadolu Cement. This will be an important power for us. The region is a developing region. It is a place with a young population and both our people and investors gave great importance to this place.

They all wanted to buy shares here. 3 million 100 thousand people wanted to invest here, this is a very important number. There was 10 times more demand from companies and corporates. We have made a successful public offering. Limak Dogu Anadolu Cement has no financial debts. We will announce this process to the public in the coming days when we complete it. These two will continue to grow in cement.”
