Removal of 22 Substances from Turkish Food Codex Aroma Agents

The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry has published the “Regulation Amending the Turkish Food Codex on Aroma Agents and Food Components with Aroma-Providing Properties” in the Official Gazette.

This regulation has been prepared in line with European Union (EU) regulations.

The regulation specifies aroma agents used in foods, food components with aroma-providing properties, the source materials used in their production, as well as conditions of use and labeling rules.

Several aroma agents have been added to the list, modifications have been made to the conditions of use for 20 aroma agents, and 22 aroma agents have been removed from the list.
