A record number of passengers was reached at the end of the first weekend of August at Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen (ISG) Airport.
According to the statement made by OHS, 2 thousand 91 flights were carried out on the first weekend of August, 4-5-6 August, and a total of 389 thousand 620 passengers traveled to Sabiha Gokcen.
A total of 131 thousand 52 passengers were reached on 713 domestic and international flights on 6 August, breaking the record for the highest number of passengers. In addition, the record for the highest outgoing international passengers was 36 thousand 830 and the international passenger number was broken with the total number of international passengers 72 thousand 566.
With the start of the summer season this year, ISG, which broke a new record in the number of passengers every week, hosted 17 million passengers with 108 thousand 60 flights in the first six months of the year, according to HEAS data.
Sabiha Gokcen International Airport continues to serve a total of 157 destinations and 52 countries, with 40 domestic and 117 international destinations.
