SEC to Announce Ethereum (ETH) ETF Decision Soon: When Will the Approval Be Made?

Investors are eagerly anticipating the announcement of the Ethereum (ETH) ETF approval by the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The likelihood of approval has surged from 5% to 75%, increasing expectations that Ethereum ETFs could be approved this week. So, when will the Ethereum (ETH) ETF approval be announced?

The decision on ETH ETF approval has become a major focus for investors in the cryptocurrency market. With analysts raising their expectations, the market has seen increased activity. When exactly will the SEC make its announcement?

ETH ETF Approval Timeline

The SEC, which has repeatedly postponed the evaluation of ETH ETF applications, is expected to make decisions on two applications this week.

According to reports:

  • The SEC will announce its decision on VanEck’s spot Ethereum ETF application on May 23 at 11 p.m. ET.
  • On Friday, May 24, ARK Invest will disclose the final decision regarding the spot ETF applications submitted by its companies.

Increased Approval Expectations

Bloomberg ETF analysts Eric Balchunas and James Seyffart have reported that the SEC has been urging applicants to expedite their 19b-4 filings, indicating a higher chance of approval. As a result, Balchunas and Seyffart have raised the probability of Ethereum ETF approval from 5% to 75%.
