Following the Cabinet Meeting held at the Presidential Complex, Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan addressed questions from the press, announcing that the Eid bonus of 3,000 lira for retirees will be deposited into their accounts before the holiday.
In response to a journalist’s inquiry about the recently determined 3,000 lira Eid bonuses, Minister Işıkhan stated, “Congratulations. The law has passed in the Parliament, and we are planning the payment dates. We will transfer the bonus to the accounts of retirees before the holiday. We always aim to provide the best figures, but we act in accordance with the circumstances. Hopefully, we will have even better services.”
When asked about the possibility of equalizing the insurance premium days between Bağ-Kur (Self-Employed Insurance) members and SSK (Social Security Institution) members after the elections, Minister Işıkhan responded, “It was among our medium-term plans. We will include it in the regulation, of course.”
Highlighting the importance of increasing employment and reducing informality as key objectives, Minister Işıkhan also mentioned ongoing efforts to support retirees within the framework of the Year of Retirees, emphasizing that work is still in progress.
