The second part of the shipment of eggs imported from Turkiye reached Russia

It was reported that the second part of the eggs imported from Turkiye also reached Russia.

In the statement made by the Russian Food Safety Authority (Rosselkhoznadzor), it was stated that the eggs imported from Turkiye entered Russia from the “Yarag-Kazmalyar” point in the south of the country on January 5.

In the statement, it was stated that 316 thousand 800 eggs weighing a total of 19.3 tons will begin to be distributed within the country.

In the statement made by Rosselkhoznadzor on January 3, it was reported that the first part of the same amount of eggs imported from Turkiye reached Russia.

Drawing attention to the increase in egg prices in the country on December 14, Russian President Vladimir Putin said, “Additional imports from Turkiye are proposed. Our economic ties (with Turkiye), including in the field of agriculture, are developing well.”

Russian Minister of Agriculture Dmitriy Patrushev also stated that they would import duty-free eggs from Turkiye in a short time.

The Russian government allowed duty-free import of 1.2 billion eggs from January 1 to June 1.
