The deadline for the first installment of the motor vehicle tax for this year will expire tomorrow.
The first installment payment period of MTV for 2023 started on January 1, 2023. Payments can be made until the end of the day tomorrow.
MTV is accrued annually in January each year by the tax office of the place where the registration and registration of vehicles is made. The applied MTV is paid in 2 equal installments in January and July. In this context, the first installment payment period will expire on Tuesday.
The tax in question can be paid from the Interactive Tax Office or mobile application (Google Play, App Store, Huawei AppGallery) between 02.00-23.45 hours with the bank card/credit card of the contracted banks, the transfer method from the bank account, the cards belonging to the banks operating in foreign countries and the banks authorized for tax collection, through the tax office cashiers and PTT branches.
Current MTV schedule
In accordance with the Presidential Decree, MTV amounts for this year were calculated based on 61.5% instead of the 122.9% revaluation rate.
Accordingly, the lowest MTV to be paid in 2023 will be ₺219, and the highest MTV amount will be ₺101 thousand 152.
For example, an MTV of ₺4 thousand 434 will be paid for a 1-3 year old car with a 1400 cc engine cylinder volume registered on January 1, 2018 and after the vehicle value exceeds ₺199 thousand 700. A tax of ₺3 thousand 323 will be applied for 4-6 years old cars with the same cylinder volume, whose vehicle value exceeds ₺199 thousand 700.
