In February, the highest increase in exports was in ship and yacht services with 388.1%.
In the industrial group, which made up 75% of Turkey’s total exports last month, exports amounted to $15 billion 7 million 172 thousand with an increase of 25.6%.
In the aforementioned period, the agricultural group, which made up 13.9% of the total exports, reached $2 billion 784 million 139 thousand with an increase of 30.9%, and $476 million 83 thousand with an increase of 14.9% in the mining group, which received a 2.4% share from the total exports.
MOST EXPORTS WERE TO GERMANY
The top 3 exporting countries were Germany with $1.8 billion, the USA with $1.3 billion and the United Kingdom with $1.1 billion. The highest increase was recorded in the USA with $384 million, Iraq with an increase of $318 million and Germany with an increase of $291 million.
Looking at exports by country groups, exports to the EU, which is the largest market, increased by 22% and reached a volume of $8.4 billion. When other European countries other than the EU are included, the share of the European continent in February exports was 55.2%. In other country groups, exports were $3.5 billion to the Near and Middle East countries, $2 billion to the African continent, $1.5 billion to North America and $1.4 billion to the Far East.
The top 3 provinces with the highest exports were Istanbul with $8 billion, Kocaeli with $1.4 billion and Bursa with $1.3 billion, respectively.
EXPORTS BY TURKISH LIRA INCREASED BY 92% IN FEBRUARY
A total of ₺9 billion worth of Turkish lira was exported to 165 countries. Thus, exports in Turkish lira increased by 92% in February.
1,718 companies joined the export family by exporting for the first time in February.
