The Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources announced that Turkey, holding 73.2% of the world’s boron reserves, continued its global leadership with a 63% market share in 2023.
A post from the Ministry’s X account shared the global boron reserve ratios among countries.
It was noted that Turkey, possessing 73.2% of the world’s boron reserves, has known boron deposits located in Eskişehir Kırka, Kütahya Emet, Balıkesir Bigadiç, and Bursa Kestelek.
The post highlighted that in Turkey, boron is used with a distribution of 51% in glass, 17% in agriculture, 14% in ceramics, 1% in detergents, and 17% in other sectors.
