Turkey exports agricultural machinery to 130 countries, said the secretary general of Turkish Association of Agricultural Machinery and Equipment Manufacturers.
“Two-thirds of tractors produced in Turkey is exported to the U.S and Italy, prominent countries in this field,” Selami Ileri told Anadolu Agency.
He added that the Balkans, Turkic countries and the North Africa are among receivers of Turkish agricultural machineries. Ileri noted the machinery equipment exports rose 20% in August.
“We forecast to surpass $1 billion in only tractor and equipment export this year,” he noted.
Ileri expressed the manufacturers’ willingness to enter new markets such as Brazil and Australia. “Customs walls in those countries are challenging for us, we endeavor to overcome this issue,” he said.
