BIST 100 rises 8 points at opening session
Türkiye’s benchmark stock index opened Wednesday at 8,054.80 points, rising 0.10% or 8.18 points from the previous close.
On Tuesday, Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index closed at 8,046.62 points, a surge of 1.26%, with a daily trading volume of 105 billion Turkish liras ($3.65 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate stood at 28.8141 as of 09.55 am local time (0655GMT), while the euro/lira rate was at 31.4005, and a British pound traded for 36.0585 Turkish liras.
Brent crude oil was selling for around $82.24 per barrel,while the price of an ounce of gold was $2,002.30.
