BIST 100 earns nearly 139 points at opening session
Türkiye’s benchmark stock index opened Monday at 7,649.39 points, up 1.85% or 138.7 points from the previous close.
Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index closed last week at 7,510.68 points,down 3.33%, with a daily trading volume of 98 billion liras ($3.48 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 28.0510 as of 10.30 a.m. local time (0730GMT), while the euro/lira rate stood at 29.7190 and a British pound traded for 34.1325 liras.
Brent crude oil was selling for around $91.50 per barrel, while the price of an ounce of gold was $1,987.75.
