Benchmark index marginally loses 3.13 points at opening session
Türkiye’s benchmark stock index opened Friday at 7,838.33 points, a slight decrease of 0.04%, or 3.13 points, from the previous close.
On Thursday, Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index closed at 7,841.46 points, down 0.25%, with a daily trading volume of 86 billion Turkish liras ($3 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 28.5531 as of 09.55 a.m. local time (06.55GMT), the euro/lira exchange rate stood at 30.4753, while a British pound traded for 34.9153 liras.
Brent crude oil was selling for around $80.39 per barrel,while the price of an ounce of gold was $1,961.65.
