Turkish stock exchange opens week in the green
Türkiye’s benchmark stock index opened Monday at 9,322.05 points, up 0.77%, or 71.69 points, from the previous close.
On Friday, Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index inched up by 0.09% to close at a fresh all-time high of 9,250.36 points.
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 30.8680 as of 09.50 a.m. local time (0650GMT),the euro/lira exchange rate stood at 33.3183, while a British pound traded for 38.9612 liras.
Brent crude oil was selling for around $82.79 per barrel, while the price of an ounce of gold was $2,033.00.
