Turkiye: Construction Cost Index Surges 2.11% Monthly and 69.98% Annually in March

The construction cost index increased by 2.11% on a monthly basis and 69.98% on an annual basis in March.

Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) announced the construction cost index data for March.

Accordingly, the construction cost index increased by 2.11% in March compared to the previous month and increased by 69.98% compared to the same month of the previous year. Compared to the previous month, the material index increased by 2.54% and the labor index increased by 1.30%. In addition, the material index increased by 55.17% and the labor index increased by 108.04% compared to the same month of the previous year.

Building construction cost index increased by 2.14% compared to the previous month and 68.44% compared to the same month of the previous year. Compared to the previous month, the material index increased by 2.64% and the labor index increased by 1.24%. In addition, the material index increased by 52.77% and the labor index increased by 107.45% compared to the same month of the previous year.

The construction cost index for non-building structures increased by 2.03% compared to the previous month and increased by 75.15% compared to the same month of the previous year. Compared to the previous month, the material index increased by 2.25% and the labor index increased by 1.54%. In addition, the material index increased by 62.93% and the labor index increased by 110.27% compared to the same month of the previous year.
