Housing Price Index increased by 4.8% in June

The House Price Index (HPI) increased by 4.8% month on month and 95.9% year on year to 920.5 in June.

The Housing Price Index data for the period of June 2023 has been announced by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkiye (CBRT).

The HPI (2017=100), calculated to monitor the price changes of houses in Turkiye, adjusted for the quality effect, increased by 4.8% compared to the previous month and became 920.5 in June.

While the HPI increased by 95.9% on an annual basis in June, the real increase in this period was 38.0%.

Looking at the change in HPI for the three big cities, an increase of 4.0%, 5.6% and 4.9% was seen in Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir, respectively, in June compared to the previous month.

Compared to the same month of the previous year, the index values increased to 85.1% in Istanbul, 106.0% in Ankara and 100.0% in İzmir.
