E-COMMERCE LAW IN ACTION
The e-commerce law, which regulates the e-commerce sector, entered into force today. With the law, regulations are made for e-commerce intermediary service providers and e-commerce service providers, taking into account the scales, in order to prevent unfair competition and monopolization in electronic commerce, to facilitate the entry of new actors to the market, and to ensure the balanced and healthy growth of the market.
ACCOMMODATION TAX COMES INTO PLAY
The 2% accommodation tax, which was previously deferred, comes into play. Overnight services provided in accommodation facilities such as hotels, motels, holiday villages, pensions, apart-hotels, guesthouses, camping, chalets, highland houses will be subject to accommodation tax. WHATSAPP WILL NOT BE ON SOME PHONES
WhatsApp will remove its support on dozens of devices. WhatsApp will not work on some models for both Android and iPhone. A new era has started in the meal card. Meal card obligation has been abolished if employers make cash payments to employees’ accounts. Thus, employees will be able to receive food support in cash. Companies that want to continue the meal card application. If the meal card is used in markets, there will be no tax exemption.
E-LEDGER REQUIREMENTS TO TAX LIABILITIES
Real and legal taxpayers with a turnover of ₺4 million or more within the 2021 tax periods will switch to the e-ledger application in the new year.
