Turkiye: Minimum equity amounts of payment have been redetermined as ₺20 million

Minimum equity amounts of payment and electronic money institutions have been redetermined.

The notification of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkiye regarding the redetermination of the minimum equity amounts of payment and electronic money institutions was published in the Official Gazette.

Accordingly, the minimum equity amount for bill payment institutions authorized only to mediate bill payments, which was determined as ₺3 million by regulation and applied as ₺7 million as of June 30, 2023, was determined as ₺10 million.

For other payment institutions, the minimum equity amount, which is determined as ₺5 million by regulation and applied as ₺15 million as of June 30, 2023, is ₺20 million; It was decided that the minimum equity amount for electronic money institutions, which was determined as ₺13 million by the regulation and applied as ₺41 million as of June 30, 2023, will be determined as ₺55 million.
