The number of established companies decreased by 5.3% in January compared to the previous month and decreased to 14 thousand 240. The number of companies closed in the same period was recorded as 1566, with a decrease of 65.7%.
The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkiye announced the statistics of companies established and closed for the month of January.
Accordingly, the number of companies established in January decreased by 5.3% compared to December 2022, from 15 thousand 34 to 14 thousand 240. The number of closed companies decreased by 65.7% to 1566. The number of companies closed in December 2022 was recorded as 4 thousand 569.
In January, compared to the same month of the previous year, there was an increase of 24.9% in the number of companies established and 52.6% in the number of companies that were closed.
