Turkiye’s leading e-commerce company Trendyol is preparing to enter the Ukrainian market

Trendyol, one of Turkiye’s e-commerce platforms that brings together Turkish products and manufacturers with world markets, is preparing to enter the Ukrainian market. Trendyol’s move comes after its recent successful expansion into the Germany, Azerbaijan, Gulf Countries and Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) markets.

Trendyol Group President Caglayan Cetin met with high representatives of the Ukrainian Government in Kiev, together with Haluk Bayraktar, CEO of Baykar, one of Turkiye’s leading technology and defense industry companies. At the meeting attended by First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Yulia Svrydenko and Ukrainian Minister of Strategic Industries Alexander Kamyshin, international investment plans of Baykar and Trendyol companies were discussed.

Expressing his pleasure in meeting with Trendyol Group President Cetin and Baykar CEO Bayraktar, Ukrainian First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Svrydenko made the following statement:

“I find it important that Turkish companies prepare to invest in Ukraine without waiting for the war to end. This interest extends beyond the high-tech sector and the defense industry, which boomed in wartime. There is also intense interest in export-oriented cooperation in the field of logistics and marketplace. We evaluated ways to improve our cooperation and establish stronger economic ties. I believe that increased trade will bring our countries closer together.”

Trendyol, which delivers Turkish manufacturers and their products to more than 100 countries with its new generation e-commerce experience, has also included Ukraine in its international expansion strategy. Seeing the rapidly developing e-commerce market in Ukraine and the interest of Ukrainian consumers in Turkish products as an important potential, Trendyol aims to use its world-class digital infrastructure and growing international operation area in the most effective way in Ukraine.

Planning investments in digital and logistics infrastructure in Ukraine, as in all new markets, Trendyol’s warehouse in Poland with a stock capacity of 3 million will provide a significant advantage in its activities in the region.

This week in Istanbul, ministers from the Turkish and Ukrainian governments signed the “Turkiye-Ukraine Reconstruction Task Force” document, which aims to help Turkish construction companies rebuild the Ukrainian infrastructure damaged during the war.
