Unico Insurance became the growth champion in motor insurance and traffic insurance

In the first quarter, the company recorded a growth of 639% in motor insurance and 576% in traffic branch compared to the same period of the previous year.

Unico Insurance was the company that grew the most in motor and traffic insurance in the first quarter of the year, according to the Turkish Insurance Association (TSB).

According to the statement made by the company, TSB’s first quarter data revealed the rapid growth of Unico Insurance.

Accordingly, Unico Insurance grew by 146% in real terms in non-life insurance, remaining 82% above the real growth of the sector. The market share of the company, which increased its premium production to ₺1.47 billion, increased from 1.15% to 1.74%.

Unico Insurance, which is the company that has grown the most with 270% among the top 20 companies, recorded a growth of 639% in motor insurance and 576% in traffic branch in the first quarter compared to the same period of the previous year.

Realized 4.7 times the real growth of the sector in motor insurance, it increased its market share from 0.99% to 2.65%, and in traffic insurance, it increased its market share from 1.38% to 3.54% by growing 4.6 times the sector average.

Ender Guzeler, General Manager of Unico Insurance, who made his evaluations on the subject in the statement, stated that the company has achieved a steady growth in line with its long-term plans and said, “While we are happy with the goals we achieved in 2022, we continue to produce results in market share development and profitability in 2023 in accordance with our business plan.”

Noting that they have a balanced portfolio and that they continue their claims, especially in auto insurance, Guzeler made the following assessments:
