11 startups selected for the first term of Workup Gaming which is implemented for gaming startups

The startup selected for the new program of Turkiye Is Bankasi that will contribute to the scaling, acceleration, access to investment and visibility of startups in the gaming vertical have been announced.

Supporting startups operating in different verticals since 2017 with the Workup Entrepreneurship Program, of which it is the main supporter, the new program in the game vertical of Turkiye Is Bankasi starts with 11 game studios and startups that produce games for educational purposes.

WorkupGaming, the entrepreneurship program supported by Isbank with the Workup brand, was created in partnership with the Turkish Informatics Foundation, Bogazici Ventures, Joy Game and Dojo Talent.

The program aims to discover new unicorn initiatives of our country in the game ecosystem and to accelerate and expand the acquisition of future competencies with educational games.

All-round support for game developers in the 6-month program

The program, in which the games that the startups and game studios operating in the field of games will produce for educational purposes or will produce during the program will be developed and scaled, will last for 6 months.

The program, which will not be limited to supporting startups, also aims to create an educational games community by bringing together the most important talents of the ecosystem. With the program that will support the increase in the competitiveness of the startups in the educational games vertical on a local and global scale, the mentorship of experts in the field and jury membership, technical infrastructure and application support, and access to investment are offered.

11 startups selected for the first term of the Workup Gaming Program:

  • KidLab: A game studio developed for the efficient use of technology by children aged 2-8, producing games that include intelligence-enhancing activities and provide informative content to parents about child development/education.
  • Compactive: A game studio that develops casual games with innovative mechanics and technologies that can be used by game developers.
  • Hyperactive: A game studio that aims to develop interactive and artificial intelligence-based educational games supported by active activities.
  • Yuyuto: Game studio that focuses on strategy and simulation games, develops and publishes online mobile games with its game Commercialum.
  • Funrika: Experienced game studio that releases hybrid casual games and has a long experience in digital game development in the field of education.
  • Piagmo: A game studio that aims to make Montessori Pedagogy accessible to all children in order to improve the cognitive and mental skills of preschool children.
  • Tunga Games: A game studio in the digital game industry that produces educational games and social games with learning tools that trigger thinking, enable learning by understanding, and target skills that form the basis for further learning.
  • Pangea VR: A game studio that aims to develop educational console games for children under 12 years old, teach them important skills, global warming, sustainability and environmental friendliness while having fun, thanks to engaging gameplay, colorful characters and simplified controls.
  • Educational Games Academy (Egitsel Oyunlar Akademisi): A startup that produces hypercasual games supported by animated videos with stories that children can play physically at home with their families.
  • Mind Maze Games: An educational technology initiative that focuses students’ interest in the virtual world on education and plans to create a social impact by presenting the secondary and high school curriculum with gamification in the mobile application.
  • Gamester: An experienced game studio that was established to develop games focused on social interaction, competition and entertainment and continues to work in line with the trends of the global game industry.
