Algerian LNG Ship “Ougarta” Set to Arrive in Turkiye on March 2nd

The liquefied natural gas (LNG) ship named “Ougarta,” which set sail from Algeria’s Arzew Port, is expected to arrive in Turkey on March 2nd, according to information gathered from international ship tracking data.

The LNG vessel, with a capacity of 171,800 cubic meters, departed from Algeria on February 24th and is currently navigating in the Eastern Mediterranean.

The scheduled plan is for the ship to dock at the BOTAŞ-Dörtyol FSRU (Floating LNG Storage and Regasification Unit) Terminal on March 2nd.

Constructed in 2017, the vessel, flying the Algerian flag, represents a significant step in strengthening energy ties between Algeria and Turkey. The arrival of the LNG ship is expected to contribute to Turkey’s energy supply and enhance cooperation in the field of natural gas.
