Banking sector loan volume was ₺10 trillion 137.1 billion last week

The loan volume of the banking sector increased by ₺140 billion 532 million 21 last week to ₺10 trillion 137 billion 70 million.

According to the weekly bulletin published by the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BRSA), the loan volume of the sector increased by ₺140 billion 532 million as of July 14. In the said period, the total loan volume increased from ₺9 trillion 996 billion 538 million to ₺10 trillion 137 billion 70 million.

Total deposits in the banking sector (including interbank) increased by ₺367 billion 529 million last week. The total deposits of the banking sector, which increased by 3.1% in the week in question, became ₺12 trillion 154 billion 860 million.

Consumer loans became ₺1 trillion 403 billion 440 million

According to the data, the amount of consumer loans increased by ₺11 billion 118 million as of July 14 to ₺1 trillion 403 billion 440 million. ₺439 billion 736 million of the said loans consisted of housing loans, ₺83 billion 635 million for vehicles and ₺880 billion 68 million for consumer loans.

In the said period, the amount of commercial loans with installments increased by ₺8 billion 42 million to ₺1 trillion 189 billion 406 million. Individual credit card receivables of banks increased by ₺20 billion 551 million to 808 billion 710 million. ₺393 billion 435 million of personal credit card receivables were in installments and ₺415 billion 275 million were without installments.

Legal equity increased

According to the BRSA weekly data, NPLs in the banking sector increased by ₺263 million compared to the previous week and reached ₺169 billion 194 million as of July 14. A special provision has been made for ₺145 billion 452 million of the aforementioned non-performing loans.

In the same period, legal equities in the banking system increased by ₺21 billion 176 million and reached ₺1 trillion 983 billion 183 million.
