CBRT expanded the scope of operating licenses for 4 payment services companies

While the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkiye (CBRT) decided to expand the scope of operating licenses of 4 payment services companies, it temporarily suspended the operating license of one company.

The CBRT’s decision regarding the expansion of the scope of operating permits of 4 companies and the temporary suspension of the permit of one company was published in the Official Gazette.

Accordingly, while the decision was taken to expand the scope of operating permits of Faturakom Payment Services Inc., Foy Bill Payment Enterprises Inc., Paybull Payment Services and Electronic Money Inc. and Paynet Payment Services Inc., it was announced that the operating permit of Paytrek Payment Enterprises Inc. was temporarily suspended.

According to the decision, these companies whose operating licenses have been expanded will offer payment and electronic money issuance services, but the company whose operating license has been temporarily suspended will not be able to provide services for 6 months.

The decisions in question were taken in accordance with the Law on Payment and Securities Settlement Systems, Payment Services and Electronic Money Institutions.
