Turkish Minister of Commerce Bolat will go to Brussels

Minister of Trade Omer Bolat will visit Brussels tomorrow and hold various contacts.

According to the statement made by the Ministry, Bolat, within the scope of the visit, Turkiye-EU will hold meetings with European Commission Vice President Valdis Dombrovskis, European Commission Neighborhood and Enlargement Commissioner Oliver Varhelyi and European Commission Commissioner for Economy Paolo Gentiloni to discuss bilateral trade and economic cooperation and opportunities to deepen relations between the parties.

Bolat is expected to give a speech at the European Policy Center and within the scope of the “Bruegel Speeches Event” on the importance of Turkiye-EU economic relations, updating the Customs Union, the opportunities it offers to both parties, and strengthening Turkiye-EU cooperation on the axis of green and digital transformation in global value chains.

On the other hand, Bolat is also planned to meet with representatives of the Turkish business world.
