The Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) has released its housing sales statistics for February.
According to the data, the number of housing units sold nationwide in February increased by 17.3% compared to the same month last year, reaching 93,902 units.
During the January-February period, housing sales saw a 2% decrease compared to the same period last year, totaling 174,210 units.
In February, Istanbul led in housing sales with 16,344 units sold, constituting the highest share at 17.4%.
Following Istanbul, Ankara ranked second with 8,300 units sold, capturing 8.8% of the market share, while Izmir came third with 5,168 units sold, representing a 5.5% share.
Conversely, Ardahan, with only 18 units sold, Tunceli with 45 units, and Bayburt with 51 units, were the provinces with the lowest housing sales figures.
