President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced the purchase prices of hazelnuts after the Cabinet Meeting.
Stating that the purchase prices of hazelnuts, which are harvested in approximately 16 provinces and the livelihood of 500 thousand farmers, are evaluated, Erdogan said, “We have reassigned the soil crops office to ensure price stability in the hazelnut market and to protect our producers.”
Erdogan announced the purchase prices of hazelnuts with the words, “Giresun quality has been determined as ₺84 per kilogram and Levant quality as ₺82 and 50 kurus per kilogram.
In addition, for each output, an additional ₺1 per kilogram will be paid, starting from 65 kurus.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry will also make a support payment of approximately ₺2 and 70 kurus per kilogram to the producers.
