Housing sales decreased by 16% in September in Turkiye

The number of housing sales transactions in Turkiye in September decreased by approximately 16% compared to the previous month.

According to the information received from the officials of the General Directorate of Land Registry and Cadastre of the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, 280 thousand 58 real estate sales transactions were made across the country in September. Real estate sales in September decreased by approximately 10% compared to August, when 312 thousand 339 real estate sales were made.

₺4 billion 808 million 937 thousand 276 title deed fee income was obtained from these sales transactions.

Of the 280 thousand 58 real estate sales in September, 100 thousand 839 were residences, 49 thousand 418 were land, 95 thousand 513 were fields, 11 thousand 41 were workplaces, and the rest were other immovable properties.

House sales in these real estate properties decreased by approximately 16% compared to 119 thousand 547 sales last month, and land sales decreased by 11% compared to 55 thousand 570 sales last month. Field sales decreased by 5% compared to last month’s 101 thousand 104 sales, and workplace sales decreased by 6% compared to last month’s 11 thousand 758 sales.

Most real estate was sold in Istanbul

In September, the most real estate sales were made in Istanbul with 26 thousand 627.

Istanbul is followed by Ankara with 16 thousand 59 sales, Izmir with 12 thousand 54, Konya with 10 thousand 200, Bursa with 9 thousand 898, Antalya with 8 thousand 772, Tekirdag with 7 thousand 803, Balıkesir with 7 thousand 103, Gaziantep with 7 thousand 92 and Kocaeli with 6 thousand 83.
