Highest increase seen in Hungary with 64.6% year-on-year in January
Industrial producer prices increased by 16.4% in the EU year-on-year in January, Eurostat revealed on Friday.
The prices rose by 24.2% in the energy sector, 16.4% for non-durable consumer goods, 11.8% for intermediate goods, 9.3% for durable consumer goods and 7.5% for capital goods.
The highest annual increases were seen in Hungary (64.6%), Latvia (38.8%) and Slovakia (34.5%), while the only decrease was observed in Ireland (-7.2%).
Official figures also showed that the producer price index was up by 15% in the euro area over the same period.
