Istanbul Airport won the Corporate Award at the Regional Air Transport Awards

Istanbul Airport was deemed worthy of the “Corporate Award” at the “Regional Air Transport Awards” organized by Air Transport News.

According to the statement made by Istanbul Airport operator IGA, Istanbul Airport, which continues to raise the chest of both Turkiye and the Turkish aviation industry with the global awards it has received recently, has added a new one to the awards it has received.

İGA Istanbul Airport was deemed worthy of the “Corporate Award” at the “Regional Air Transport Awards” organized by ATN. At the ceremony held in Cluj, Romania, the award was presented to Kadri Samsunlu, Chief Executive Officer and General Manager of İGA Airport Operations.

More than 4,000 readers and leading executives of the aviation industry participated in the voting, which was held with the opinion of aviation authorities, and the winners are determined by voting. Among the winners of the competition in the past years are Singapore Changi, Dubai, Lisbon and Doha airports.

İGA Istanbul Airport is the second airport to be named “Airport of the Year” in a row after Singapore Changi Airport.

While the “Air Transport Awards” awards are organized every year in partnership with the Hermes-Air Transport Organization, ATN (Air Transport News) and ALA (America Latina Aeronoticias), leading organizations of the aviation industry such as Airports Council International (ACI), International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), International Air Transport Association (IATA) also serve on the selection committee.
