Teknosa reached ₺299 million net profit in the first 6 months

Teknosa General Manager Sitare Sezgin: “We opened 5 new stores in the first 6 months and renewed our 6 stores. TeknoClub, our loyalty program that we brought together with our customers 2 years ago, exceeded 2.3 million members, while our Teknosacell subscriber number reached 440 thousand.”

In the first 6 months of the year, Teknosa grew by 131% compared to the previous year, reaching a turnover of approximately ₺14.5 billion and a net profit of ₺299 million.

According to the statement made by the company, Teknosa focused on providing the best experience to its customers with the first technology-oriented marketplace business model of its sector in Turkiye, and increased its gross transaction volume (GMV) more than 3 times in e-commerce, to over ₺2.8 billion.

In the first 6 months of 2023, Teknosa increased its Profit Before Interest, Depreciation and Tax (EBITDA) amount by 113% compared to the same period of the previous year, thanks to the growth in turnover as well as cost optimization and controlled expense management, and reached 1.2 billion in the second quarter of the year, it continued to increase its successful performance in the first quarter.

Sitare Sezgin, General Manager of Teknosa, whose views are included in the statement, stated that they have implemented many investments both in digital channels and in stores in order to meet all the technology-related needs of customers with the best experience.

Sezgin said:

“With the applications we have implemented in multi-channel and unique customer experience, we have grown by 131% in the first 6 months of the year and reached a turnover of approximately ₺14.5 billion. We maintained our strong financial structure with our stable balance sheet management. I heartily congratulate all Teknosa teams who contributed to this success. In line with our sustainable strong growth target, we did not slow down in our store investments along with our digital channels. We opened 5 new stores in the first 6 months and renewed our 6 stores. Our loyalty program TeknoClub, which we brought together with our customers 2 years ago, exceeded 2.3 million members, while our Teknosacell subscriber number reached 440 thousand. We were happy to introduce 10 million products to our customers in our private brand, Preo, which was established in 2015 and we offer a wide range of quality products to technology lovers who want to reach new technologies at affordable prices.’

‘We continued to enrich our product range with new products such as smart children’s watches and large inch TVs. We have started the sale of new value-added packages within the scope of Tekno Service, which we have implemented to create Turkiye’s largest service ecosystem in electronic products. We have signed important project agreements with our leading brand in the air conditioning sector, Iklimsa, by developing strong collaborations in the activities we carry out in the field of Solar Energy Systems (GES).’ Sezgin concluded his words as follows:

‘We started the new term trainings with the excitement of the first day in our Technology for Women project, which we have been continuing for 16 years. We expanded our project, which we planned to provide training to 4,000 women throughout the year, to include face-to-face training in the earthquake zone. In our new image campaign, we said Technology Teknosa is Beautiful, by explaining the phygital transformation in our company, our unique customer experience practices, our after-sales services and our competent expert teams. We won more than 15 awards, including the Most Reputable Brand of the Industry from the Technology Retail Company of the Year award.
