THECA., which was established in Pamukkale University Technopolis in June 2021 by Mechanical Engineer Dr. Engin Sarikaya and Mechanical Engineer Dr. Artunc Alptekin, our country’s bright, entrepreneurial and industrially experienced engineers, received an investment of €1 million 225 thousand from Mercan Chem Inc.

THECA is an R&D company that produces products called viols in the molded cellulosic packaging sector and designs and manufactures all processes, machines and molds for this production.

The company, which was established from scratch in 2021, has already gained access to many domestic and international markets, and the products of THECA, which has started to make a turnover with export and domestic sales, are new generation, sustainable products that dissolve quickly in nature, are produced with low energy and reduce the carbon footprint.

Evaluating the investment, THECA CEO Dr. Engin Sarikaya said;

“With the investment, we accelerated our efforts to implement our R&D projects, which we attach great importance to in the short, medium and long term. Our goal is to become the largest industrial viol producer in Europe. Our new 6000 square meter production factory, which we will commission in September, will be Turkiye’s largest industrial viol facility and will serve as an important milestone in achieving our goals. We will continue to work for a sustainable world.”
