Turkish armored vehicle Ejder Yalcin will be produced in Hungary

Ejder Yalcin 4X4 tactical wheeled vehicle, a product of the Turkish defense industry, will be produced in Hungary under the name “Gidran”. Nurol Makina and Raba will establish a joint venture named “Gidran” for the production of 4X4 tactical wheeled vehicles and production will be carried out at the facility in Gyor.

Armored land vehicle manufacturer Nurol Makina, which recently signed a contract for 100 NMS 4X4s in Estonia, continues its growth in the European market with Hungary.

As a continuation of its activities in Hungary since 2019, Nurol Makina signed a cooperation agreement with Raba Automotive for the production of Gidran vehicles.

At the ceremony attended by Hungarian Minister of Defense Kristof Szalay-Bobrovniczky and Nurol Holding Board Member Gurol Carmikli, the signatures on behalf of the parties were Nurol Makina General Manager Engin Aykol, Nurol Makina Hungary Top Manager Mehmet Atak, N7 Holding Top Manager Laszlo Palkovics, Raba Automotive Top Manager Bela Hetzman.

Szalay-Bobrovniczky stated at the ceremony that Nurol Makina armored vehicles were used with high satisfaction by the Hungarian army and that the company was selected as a strategic partner for the supply of 4X4 armored vehicles needed from now on.

According to the cooperation agreement signed between Nurol Makina and Raba, the companies will establish a joint venture called Gidran. The production facilities will be located in Raba’s facility in Gyor.

It is expected that direct job opportunities will be created for more than 200 people within the scope of the cooperation. In addition, it is aimed to implement projects aimed at developing unique subsystems and technologies with Gyor Szechenyi Istvan University and Hungarian defense industry companies, which are among Raba’s partners.
