Turkish Construction Material Exports Increased to $2.36 Billion in February

Turkey’s construction material industry exports increased by 11.1% in February compared to the same period last year, reaching $2.36 billion.

February results of the Construction Material Industry Foreign Trade Index prepared by the Turkish Construction Material Manufacturers Association (Turkiye IMSAD) have been announced.

Accordingly, the exports of the construction material industry increased by 11.1% on an annual basis in February, reaching $2.36 billion. The export amount in the month in question was 3.62 million tons. The unit export value per kilogram of the construction material industry decreased to $0.65 in February.

As of February, construction material exports in the last 12 months amounted to $29.31 billion.

While construction material imports increased by 4.3% in February compared to the same period last year, reaching $931 million, the import unit price was recorded as $3.33.

Exports increased in all 8 sub-product groups

According to the report, exports increased in value in all 8 sub-product groups in the index. The export increase was 53.1% in prefabricated structures, 19% in iron and steel products, 15.9% in insulation materials, 15.7% in wood and wood, and 12% in chemical-based products, 7.5% in mineral, stone, and soil products, 5.5% in electrical materials and equipment, and 0.7% in metal-based products.

Export unit values decreased in all 8 sub-product groups in February.
