BIST 100 index gains 161.18 points, ending 5-session losing streak
Türkiye’s benchmark stock index rallied 3.66% to end Monday at 4,561.94 points,ending a five-session streak of losses.
After starting the week at 4,433.26 points, Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index gained 161.18 points from the previous close.
The index’s lowest value during the day was 4,374.14, while its daily high was 4,577.73.
The total market value of the BIST 100 was around 3.8 trillion Turkish liras ($192.8 billion) by market close, with a daily trading volume of 42 billion Turkish liras ($2.16 billion).
