Turkiye’s oil imports decreased by 1.46% in July

Turkiye’s total imports of oil and petroleum products decreased by 1.46% in July compared to the same month of the previous year, reaching 4 million 121 thousand 936 tons.

According to the “Oil Market Sector Report” of the Energy Market Regulatory Authority for July, imports of crude oil, which constitutes the largest item in Turkiye’s total oil imports, decreased by 19.26% and reached 2 million 417 thousand 102 tons.

During this period, imports of diesel types increased by 57.94% and reached 1 million 265 thousand 470 tons.

The remaining part of imports consisted of aviation and maritime fuels, gasoline and fuel oil types and other products.

Thus, total imports decreased by 1.46% in July compared to the same month of the previous year and reached 4 million 121 thousand 936 tons.

While the highest import of crude oil and petroleum products was from Russia with 2 million 116 thousand 52 tons, this country was followed by Iraq with 752 thousand 293 tons and Kazakhstan with 647 thousand 763 tons.

On the other hand, gasoline sales increased by 28.91% in July compared to the same month of the previous year, reaching 423 thousand 864 tons, and diesel sales increased by 24.68%, reaching 2 million 654 thousand 149 tons.

Total sales of petroleum products were recorded as 3 million 226 thousand 627 tons, with an increase of 24.94%.

Exports of petroleum products decreased by 4.96%

While Turkiye’s aviation fuel exports increased by 8.88% in July, reaching 472 thousand 792 tons, maritime fuel exports decreased by 23.35% and reached 111 thousand 302 tons.

Exports of gasoline types decreased by 96.71% to 7 thousand 930 tons, and exports of diesel types decreased by 43.80% to 46 thousand 481 tons.

Total exports of other products in the oil market decreased by 4.96% to 1 million 9 thousand tons.

In July, the production of diesel types decreased by 11.81% compared to the same month of the previous year, reaching 1 million 312 thousand 223 tons, the production of gasoline types decreased by 18.35%, reaching 443 thousand 395 tons, and the production of aviation fuels increased by 16.1%, reaching 562 thousand 228 tons. Marine fuels production decreased by 24.22% and was calculated as 94 thousand 707 tons.

Total refinery petroleum products production with other fuel types decreased by approximately 7.64% and reached 3 million 154 thousand 972 tons.
