According to Ford Otosan’s statement, Ford E-Transit, Europe’s most powerful and Turkiye’s first fully electric commercial vehicle manufactured by Ford Otosan at its Golcuk Plant, takes commercial fleets to the next level.
Based on the needs for the rapidly rising e-commerce and environmentally friendly mobility trend, Ford Otosan’s 100% electric light commercial vehicle E-Transit has joined the fleet of 13 companies in many sectors, from energy distribution to cargo distribution, from education services to consumer products, that want to expand their fleets with environmentally friendly electric vehicles.
E-Transit, an important step in Ford Otosan’s electrification journey, has been specially designed to help achieve sustainability goals without sacrificing durability and functionality.
Ford E-Transit, which provides rapid acceleration with its rear-wheel drive engine, which is the most powerful in its class, has electric motor options producing 135 kW and 198 kW and a loading area of up to 15.1 cubic meters.
E-Transit features both AC and DC fast charging. Thus, it can be charged 100% in approximately 8.2 hours with AC charging, while it can charge from 15% to 80% in 34 minutes with the 115 kW DC Fast charge feature.
Among the driver assistance technologies offered by Ford E-Transit are Collision-Avoidance Assist with pedestrian detection, Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control with traffic sign recognition, Blind Spot Information System with lane tracking warning and assist, 360-degree camera and Reverse Maneuver Brake Assist. Ford E-Transit was awarded the Gold Award in the field of commercial vehicles by the independent vehicle safety assessment organization Euro NCAP, with its comprehensive driver assistance systems package.
